Who do we honor?

JPCA awards scholarships in memory of Larry Waller.

Larry Waller
October 8, 1953 - August 18, 2006

Note from John Steinsiek:
Larry was a law enforcement officer for 27 years. He had advanced to rank of Assistant Chief Deputy of the Dallas County Pct. 5 Constables Office. Larry was a member of the Texas JPCA, the Dallas County JPCA, and the North Texas JPCA. In JPCA, Larry served as the Deputy Representative on the Board of Directors, as an instructor for the Texas Justice Court Training Center, and was a former member of the Education Committee. He also won Deputy of the Year in 2005. Larry was a true supporter of the North Texas Association. He spread the word about the quality training, networking, and what a great time you would have at the North Texas Quarterly Education Meeting. One of the happiest days of his life was the day he was elected president of the North Texas Association. Larry cherished his family, friends, and profession. He is missed.
